How we work

1.Prepare raw materials

The core material of carbon fiber pickleball paddle is T700 or T800 grade carbon fiber prepreg, with resin content typically controlled between 35% and 45%. Depending on the mechanical requirements of different parts of the paddles, different weaving methods of the carbon fiber cloth may be used.

2.Mold Design

Carbon fiber pickleball paddle molds are typically machined from steel molds, with a hard anodizing treatment to ensure high temperature resistance (≤200℃) and wear resistance. The molds require extremely high precision, with tolerances controlled within ±0.05mm.

3.Layup process

A standard carbon fiber pickleball paddle typically has 12-18 layers: 6-8 layers for the face, 4-6 layers for the frame, and 2-4 layers for the handle.The direction of the carbon fiber fabric in each area is not consistent because they serve different functions.

4.Pre-compression treatment

After the layers are laid up, pre-compression is performed by vacuum bag compression or mechanical pre-compression to remove interlayer air and ensure the material is dense. This step is crucial for reducing the porosity of the finished product.

5.Hot pressing curing

The prepared mold is placed in a carbon fiber hot press for high-temperature curing. Typical process parameters are: temperature 130-150℃, pressure 5-10MPa, and time 15-30 minutes. During the hot pressing process, the resin undergoes a cross-linking reaction, forming a stable three-dimensional network structure.

6.Demolding & trimming

After curing, wait for the mold to cool to a safe temperature before demolding. After removing the initial product, use CNC equipment for precise trimming to remove excess material.

7.Surface treatment and coating

After polishing and cleaning, the paddle enter the painting line. First, a primer is sprayed to fill the tiny pores on the surface, then the pattern is designed and the topcoat is sprayed, and finally a protective clear coat is applied.

8.Quality Inspection

Finished products must undergo rigorous physical performance testing, including balance point testing, hardness testing, vibration frequency analysis, and destructive sampling, to ensure that each racket meets design standards.
